Nyaaya Mitram Project

By Yuva and Sewa Foundation (YSF)

1. Background & Rationale

Access to justice remains one of the biggest challenges for marginalized communities in India. Large sections of the population—particularly from economically weaker sections, slum dwellers, daily wage laborers, women, and rural poor—often remain excluded from legal remedies due to lack of awareness, financial barriers, and systemic delays.

The Nyaaya Mitram Project emerges as a social intervention by Yuva and Sewa Foundation (YSF) to bridge this justice gap. Inspired by the values of service (seva), empowerment, and equity, the project seeks to make legal awareness and assistance accessible at the grassroots level.

2. Vision

To create an empowered society where even the most marginalized citizen has access to timely, affordable, and fair justice.
